On March eleventh our sophomores, juniors and seniors attended a day long retreat at Assumption College. Our theme was the Year of Mercy. Students learned how to be merciful in their everyday lives. The day included talks by students and activities. The day concluded with Reconciliation and Mass led celebrated by Fr. James Hoey of Spencer.
Mark S. Lewandowski received the Booster’s Diamond Pin Award. Mark has served as Booster’s President for sixteen years and now is vice-president. We experienced a faith-filled day at St. Mary’s on January 22nd. In lieu of going to Washington, D.C. to attend the March for Life, students had a faith-filled day here at our school. Students began the day making an advertisement for life, followed by Mass, Adoration and praying of the Stations for Life. Students in grades 10-12 then went to Planned Parenthood for a peaceful hour of prayer with Bishop McManus. The remainder of the students made cards for the moms at visitation house and wrote letters to their legislators. We concluded our day by watching Heaven is for Real. I was so impressed by the sincerity of our students on this very special day.
