Art Class

St. Mary’s Schools begin a new chapter with our new art program under the direction of Mr. McGaw. We are thankful to the Benedict family for making this possible in memory of their daughter Jamie.

100 Years!

On September 5, 1915 the doors of St. Mary’s School opened and welcomed its first students. For one hundred years, thousands of children and young adults have received an education at St. Mary’s. This year, one hundred years later, St. Mary’s remains committed to creating an atmosphere conducive to both academic excellence and the growth of each individual student recognizing the gifts which have been given to them by God.

St Mary's Highlighted

We are proud to announce that the Carolyn Boyles Scholarship will go to a teacher from St. Mary’s School in Massachusetts. Ms. Cindy Ahearn, who is an administrator at the school, submitted the application for the scholarship. In her own words Cindy shared that “her school is doing its best to stay open for the residents of the nearby neighborhoods. The parents are supportive and committed to doing their best for their children. I want to bring Tools to St. Mary’s to give the students the best program possible and to give the parents something to be proud of in their school”.
We are proud to welcome such committed educators into our professional development series. We look forward to receiving updates on all the fine work they will do as a result of the scholarship.READ MORE…

St. Mary's Featured in the Yankee Express

By Janet Stoica

When visiting St. Mary’s Schools of Worcester, a complete and truly distinctive platform of learning from Pre-K through grade 12, I was more than impressed with the enthusiasm and vigor of its wonderful staff.

Principal Adam Cormier and parent Renata Lech were eager to talk about the school’s recent accomplishments and future goals. The school has experienced a resurgence in student population after almost closing recently. Last year a new pastor, the Reverend Richard Polek, assumed the helm of Our Lady of Czestochowa Church, with which the school is affiliated, and there have been many positive changes.

The school will soon be celebrating its 100-year anniversary, a testament to its faculty, students, and staff, office and maintenance alike.

Books Donated…

We would like to sincerely thank Lisa Allen of Oxford who recently held
a book drive in memory of her mother, Loretta Karpowicz Jason. The
books from this drive were given to the students in the Pre-K and
Kindergarten classes at St. Mary’s Schools in Worcester. Each student
was able to bring 2 books home to keep. The remaining books were
put into the classroom libraries. Thank you for all your hard work, Ms.
Allen. We will keep your Mom in our prayers.
