Guidance Services

The Guidance office offers many services to support St. Mary’s students in their academic journey. These services include the following:

  • Establishing and supporting high school seniors on the common application for their college applications, as well as for all other college applications (electronic or paper)
  • Working with the Massachusetts Educational Financing Authority (MEFA) to schedule workshops on college admissions and financing
  • Aiding students in applying for an array of college scholarships, including (but not restricted to) White Eagle, Quo Vadis, and Assumption College Light the Way
  • Nominating high school juniors for various book awards, including Harvard Club, Assumption, Holy Cross, Anna Maria, Bryant, and others
  • Conducting on site testing (including those with accommodations) for the digital PSAT (8th and 9th grade), PSAT/NMSQT (10th grade), and SAT (11th and 12th grade)
  • Conducting on site Advanced Placement (AP) testing for all AP subjects offered at St. Mary’s
  • Conducting MAP testing for grades 2–7
  • Administering the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery to students in grades 10–12 to aid students in selecting their future vocations
