From Mrs. Colorio: On Friday, December 20th, students in grades 7 & 8 visited the McKeon Road Station House to deliver cookies, cards, and to make a donation of over $350 for the Worcester Firefighters Memorial. Students also made posters honoring the nine fallen Worcester fallen firefighters over the past 20 years. These posters are on display in the school foyers.

From the entire St. Mary’s staff: On Friday, December 20th, we celebrated Christmas with beautiful songs and a wonderful Christmas pageant. Thank you for joining us. We hope you enjoyed the show.

This week and beyond:

IMPORTANT BASKETBALL NOTICE: Athletes are NOT allowed to remain in the building for late practices. If practice begins later than 3:30, students must leave school and return at the appropriate start time. Athletes may and are encouraged to attend homework club to complete assignments. Homework club meets Mondays – Thursdays 2:15-3:15 pm. Please be diligent to check stats, congratulate teams, check schedules, touch base with coaches, and/or contact Mr. McAnulty (rmcanulty@stmaryshigh.org) if you have any questions.

January 6 (Monday)–January 24 (Friday): MAP Testing for elementary students and grade 7.

January 8 (Wednesday): Home and School Association Meeting @ 6:00 pm. Join us to learn about the many ways to help the school. Hope to see you there!

January 13 (Monday)–January 16 (Thursday): Midterm exams; 1/2 days for students in grades 7-12; 11:25 dismissal.

January 14 (Tuesday): Texas Roadhouse restaurant fundraiser to benefit Home and School Association. Mark your calendars and plan ahead for this night out. Look out for the flyer coming soon.

January 17 (Friday): Professional Development Day: NO SCHOOL

January 17 (Friday): 2nd quarter ends; grades close

January 20 (Monday): Martin Luther King Jr. Day: NO SCHOOL

January 21 (Tuesday): 3rd quarter begins

January 24 (Friday): March for Life (Pro-Life rally) in Washington D.C.
