From Mrs. Ahearn: Congratulations to Anderson, Broc, Devan, Eric, Jake, and Seedi for completing Altar Servers training with Deacon Steve. They are preparing to serve a special mass on Thursday, December 5th at 8:30 am. Please join us!
From Mr. Smith: Members of the Faith Club will be sharing a “Verse of the Week” with our school community. Their hope is to help us focus and reflect on God’s love and grace.
From Mrs. Coulouras: BONJOUR! In November, our Culture Club members “landed ” in Paris, France. We learned historical facts about three famous French landmarks: La Tour Eiffel, Arc de Triomphe, and Notre Dame Cathedral. In addition, we explored some fun facts about France. Each student made a Paris-themed postcard. Also, students paired up to learn French greetings. They had fun quizzing each other. We wrapped our meeting with a sweet treat-Petit Ecolier. Pictures are attached. Merci.
From Mr. Beck, Ms. Weiler, and Mrs. Campbell: CONGRATULATIONS to Duncan and Cameron! On Saturday, November 16th, they auditioned for the Central Districts Music Festival and were accepted into the program. Duncan will participate in the Chorus. Cameron will participate in the Jazz Band. The performance will be held in January at Mechanics Hall! Way to go, boys!
From Grade 12: We have raised $170 toward our $250 goal for St. Jude’s hospital. We are still accepting donations. If you’d like to give, please send funds to St. Mary’s Schools. Thank you for your consideration. God bless! ~ STM Class of 2020
From Mrs. Colorio: On Friday, November 15th, the Boxes of Joy were packaged and shipped. Thanks to your generosity, we sent 77 boxes. What a huge blessing!
From Mr. McAnulty: On Saturday, November 16th, Student-Athletes for Fall sports had a busy day to close to their 2019 season. They started with a yard cleanup at the home of of Charlene, a 1970 graduate of Saint Mary’s, and this year’s fall clean-up winner. After cleaning the yard, students enjoyed hot chocolate and cookies to warm up, and then returned to the gym for some basketball and pizza. To recognize their hard work and commitment, we celebrated the season with bowling and arcade games. We ended the day with our annual pasta dinner fundraiser with students making pasta, garlic bread, and brownies. I would like to thank all the students for their help in our fundraising efforts. The Athletic Department raised over $500 on Saturday with the pasta dinner and donations. Thank you to everyone who attended the dinner and/or donated. Thank you again to all of the Student-Athletes for your time and commitment throughout the season.
A Round of Applause!
