STREAM FOCUS: Religion/Service & Ethnicity

From Grade 12: Dear St. Mary’s families, This year’s senior class has decided to participate in the “No Shave November” fundraiser in support of cancer awareness and research. The goal of this fundraiser is to take the money that we would normally spend on haircuts and shaving, and donate it to an organization that supports people suffering from cancer. The seniors have chosen to donate all funds to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital. As a class, our goal is to reach $250. We appreciate any encouragement you can give us along the way. If you or your child feels inclined to donate as well, please send funds to St. Mary’s Schools and we will donate it accordingly. Thank you for your consideration. Respectfully, Hawashim, Michelle, Cameron, Xue Yun, Leonardo, Domenico, Noah, & Danny

From Ms. Cole: Students in grades 3 – 6 participated as saints for All Saints Day Mass. Each student dressed in costume, as a saint, and shared about the life of their saint during class time.

From Mrs. Colorio: Students in grades 10 & 12 helped set up for “Hill-o-Ween”, the outreach to Vernon Hill families. They did a wonderful job and worked together very well. During this service opportunity, the students met many community members and Worcester Police officers. Our students are making a positive impact in our area. Thank you for supporting and encouraging them.

From Senora Harris and Senora Oliveras: International Club members created a wonderful powerpoint showcasing our cultural diversity. Each slide pictures a country, which represents the nationalities our student body, and includes “hello” in the language of the land. Stop by the school foyer and check it out. Nicely done, International Club members!

From the Administrative Team: Elisabeth, Joshua, and Molly served as Student Ambassadors as we visited St. Peter’s and St. Stephen’s Schools to invite their 8th graders to our Open House. All three were well spoken and thoughtfully shared what they love about St. Mary’s Schools. We are thankful for their availability and appreciate their school spirit.

A Round of Applause!
