To improve student literacy through research, reading and writing skills.

The writing process

  • Choosing and developing a research topic
  • Gathering information/Note-taking
  • Creating an outline
  • Writing strategies: Tell & Show
  • Revising strategies for ideas, organization, style and grammar

To focus and strengthen student reading and note-taking.

  • Reading for main idea & supporting details (2-column notes)
  • Evaluating the quality of sources; when and how to cite sources
  • Determining what constitutes “common knowledge”

St. Mary’s School is proud to present Mary Poppins on May 12th and
13th at 7:30PM and May 14th at 2:30PM in St. Mary’s School Auditorium, 50 Richland St., Worcester, MA. General seating tickets are $10.00 and reserved seating tickets are $12.00.
